I have been there.

Motherhood changed everything; loss rearranged me.
What emerged from both is a deep commitment to the mothers who are too often forgotten the moment their baby arrives- or never gets to. Postpartum care has a major gap, and Madar was built to close it. Through education rooted in clinical knowledge and direct experience, we give mothers the tools, the language, and the private space to understand what's happening inside them, and to heal on their own terms.

Expertise

Women's Health
& Wellness

Women’s health encompasses the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of women across all stages of life.  What makes women’s health unique is its holistic nature-acknowledging the intricate connection between a woman’s body, mind, and environment. Dr. Farbod also places special focus on maternal pelvic health and changes.

Perinatal and Postpartum Depression & Anxiety

Prerinatal/postpartum depression and anxiety are responses to the profound changes of pregnancy, childbirth, and early motherhood. They reflect the body’s hormonal shifts, disrupted sleep, and emotional adjustment to new identity and responsibility. These challenges also highlight the social and relational pressures mothers face.

Grief & Trauma

Postpartum grief and trauma refer to the deep emotional pain that can follow childbirth, often linked to loss, medical complications, or a difficult birth experience. This grief may stem from unmet expectations, identity shifts, or the loss of a sense of control or safety during the perinatal period.
